Our story began in 2006 with one simple aim: to make public services brilliant. We are united by the disruptive belief that better public services reduce inequalities and lead to a stronger society. Public services are there for the most important moments in people’s lives, for instance when children come into the world, as they learn and grow, when individuals pursue new goals and qualifications, and when people fall ill, or need help managing day-to-day life. Through our work, we make a difference to those experiences. We are also focused on playing an active role in society’s transition to a sustainable future and we have committed to achieving core sustainability goals such as being a carbon negative organisation and partnering with firms who hold similar values.

Since then, we have worked with some of the biggest public service organisations in the UK, collaborating with leaders and teams to make lasting change happen, fast. We partner with a range of organisations across healthcare and central government: more than 50% of our work is with NHS organisations such as acute hospitals, mental health care providers, community care providers and integrated care systems. We also work with universities, the UK Space Agency, the Department of Education, and other government departments. These are fast moving, large and complex organisations where the client requirement and project approach are often hugely influenced by government policy or the local demographic, for example. As a consultancy, our capability is differentiated by our combination of strategy skills, detailed service knowledge and the ability to work effectively with both front-line staff and executive board members to have a genuine impact on how services are managed and delivered.

It is extremely important to us that everyone feels they can apply to The PSC. Diversity of background creates diversity of thought and that is hugely valuable both to us and our clients. Please email recruitment@thepsc.co.uk to let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment process and we'll be happy to discuss how we can best accommodate this.
